As you all know, there are two filters in the JCDA kit: a yellow one and a blue one. (Others say there are 3, and one purple one, which I haven't seen, and will be added if I can). Yellow has less filtering power and blue has more filtering power.
What kind of filters are these?
1, some people say that the yellow is the air filter, the blue is the liquid filter;
2, some instructions directly indicate;
3, you can identify yourself: the resistance is the liquid filter (strict filtration), the resistance is small air filter (moderate filtration). The resistance is especially evident when the liquid is injected. There is another way to distinguish: lumbar filter (blue), epidural filter (yellow).
Why this distinction between filters?
1, the subarachnoid space injection requirements are high, the epidural injection requirements are lower;
2, the adsorption capacity of fine particles in the liquid on the filter paper is poor, mainly by blocking to filter; Particles in the air in addition to being blocked, the ability to absorb filter paper will also be higher. Therefore, although the filtering capacity of the filter is different, the cleanliness of the filtered liquid and gas may be similar.
